Political Correspondence: The New Deal and Public Opinion, 1946-06-01 - 1946-06-01

The letter from George B. Schwabe to Carl T. Matthews discusses President Truman's position on the railroad strike and the New Deal, expressing doubt about the sincerity of some of Truman's actions. Schwabe also expresses concern about a clause in a bill that would give the government all the net profits of seized corporations.
