Senator James Abourezk is opening a public hearing on S. J. Res. 133, a resolution to establish a National Indian Policy Review Commission. The first day of hearings involved testimony from the Administration and various Indian organizations. The second day will feature a panel of individual Indian leaders discussing the resolution, moderated by Vine Deloria. The goal is to gather input and recommendations to strengthen the proposal.
