A draft of proposed Title II to be added to S. J. Res. 133 regarding the establishment of a Private Sector Task Force for a management study of the Bureau of Indian Affairs is being reviewed by Senators Abourezk, Haskell, Hatfield, and Bartlett. The draft suggests limiting the task force to seven appointees and outlines the responsibilities and reporting requirements of the Chairman. Legislative Counsel is reviewing the language for legislative compliance. The draft also includes authorization for funds not to exceed $300,000 for the task force. Feedback from the Senators is requested.
