The Bureau of Indian Affairs is undergoing yet another reorganization, with a proposed $2 million study of Indian affairs by the Indian Affairs Subcommittee. Senator Dewey Bartlett of Oklahoma has pushed for a $300,000 management study by an outside professional group to potentially identify issues within the BIA. The study is seen as a bureaucratic approach to a longstanding problem.
