Correspondence Regarding Homebuyers Training Program and Native American Housing Council, 1977-10-06

The letter from John Thorpe to Senator Dewey Bartlett requests funding for a training film for Indian Mutual Help participants in Oklahoma. Thorpe suggests that the film be made in Oklahoma and cover topics such as homebuyers' obligations and house upkeep. Senator Bartlett responds by acknowledging the request and forwarding it to the Department of Housing and Urban Development. The National American Indian Housing Council also requests consultation for filling a Special Assistant position for Indian and Alaska Native Programs. Senator Bartlett brings this request to the attention of the Department of Housing and Urban Development, who assures consideration of the request.
