Various organizations and individuals are advocating for the Intermountain School in Brigham City, Utah to remain open and be utilized for the benefit of Indian students. The Navajo Nation no longer needs the facility, but other groups are suggesting alternative uses such as a preparatory school for various types of students with special needs. These organizations are requesting a national needs assessment survey to determine the best course of action for the school.
