Richard L. Sifers, a resident of Oklahoma, wrote to Congressman Page Belcher expressing his support for the Jacobs-Javits Bill, which authorizes funds for medical research in artificial kidneys and transplants. Sifers, who currently uses an artificial kidney, emphasized the importance of such research in saving lives and improving quality of life. Congressman Belcher acknowledged Sifers' letter and informed him that it would be forwarded to Congressman John N. "Happy" Camp, who represents Sifers' district. Congressman Belcher assured Sifers that Congressman Camp would keep him informed on the progress of the bill.
