The letter from Mr. Page Belcher to Mr. Bob K. Hicks informs him that funds were not appropriated for the Indian Business Development Program for the fiscal year. Mr. Belcher checked into the matter on Mr. Hicks' behalf and enclosed a letter from Mr. Harris Loesch, Assistant Secretary of the Interior, explaining the situation. The letter states that new authorizing legislation is needed for the Program to continue, and no action has been scheduled on it yet. Mr. Hicks had applied for a grant from the Program but was informed that no funds were available. Mr. Belcher offers further assistance and support in the matter.
