The National Tribal Chairmen's Association sent a resolution to Congressman Camp regarding the realignment of the Bureau of Indian Affairs and other Indian policies. The resolution highlighted the need for immediate action and direct communication between tribal leaders and the Secretary of the Interior. The association also recommended candidates for the position of Commissioner of Indian Affairs. Congressman Camp's office acknowledged and thanked the association for their letter and resolution, promising to bring it to his attention upon his return to Washington.
