Advocating for Elderly Indian Citizens: A Call to Action, 1951-01-31

The Principal Chief of the Choctaw Nation is writing to Congressman Carl Albert to request assistance in stopping the removal of restrictions on the lands of old Indians in eastern Oklahoma. He believes that this practice is leading to the denial of old age assistance and causing financial hardship for these individuals. The Chief asks Congressman Albert to use his influence to help the senior Indian citizens in the area and ensure justice is done on their behalf.
