The Central Valley Project of California: A Milestone in Western Reclamation, 1951-01 - 1951-12-31
The Bureau of Reclamation will place the irrigation features of the Central Valley Project of California in project-wide operation on August 1. This project is a significant water resource development that will benefit the agricultural and industrial economy of the Central Valley. A 10-day celebration will mark the occasion, with President Truman invited to make the principal address. The project aims to provide California with access Carl Albert to water and related resources, benefiting various sectors including agriculture, navigation, flood control, power, and recreation.
