A Young Map Collector's Request, 1951-01 - 1951-12-31
Thirteen-year-old John Cox from Durant, Oklahoma wrote to Representative Carl A. Albert requesting a map of the United States for his map collecting hobby. Representative Albert forwarded the request to the Geological Survey, who sent John a relief map of the United States. John received the map and was commended for his interesting and worthwhile hobby.
