The Peoria Indian Tribe of Oklahoma is writing to Congressman James Jones to oppose a bill that would place Indian Country in Oklahoma under state jurisdiction without tribal consent. They are requesting that the Congressman review their tribal resolution and oppose any Federal Congressional action affecting the jurisdictional status of Indian Country without tribal consent.
