Funding for Chickasaw-Choctaw Lands: A Letter from Carl Johnston, 1949-02-10
The letter is from Carl Albert to Mr. Johnston discussing the appropriation of funds for payment for Chickasaw-Choctaw coal and asphalt lands sold to the Federal government. Albert hopes to have the full amount of $8,500,000 placed in a Department of Interior supplemental appropriation bill so that the members of the tribes can be paid in full that year.
