Response Regarding Payments for Choctaws and Chickasaws, 1949-06-16
The letter from Carl Albert to Solomon Homer informs him that payments for the sale of coal lands to the government will be made to living enrolled members first, with checks expected to be mailed out in July. Heirs of deceased members will also receive payments, with proof of heirship notices to be sent out in the fall. Homer is reassured that as an enrolled member, he will be among the first to be paid. Homer had previously inquired about the payment process.
