Letter from the President of the Oklahoma State Department of Agriculture, Mr. Billy Ray Gowdy, to Congressman James R. Jones regarding federal regulations of cattle and livestock feeding. These federal policies result in the loss of equity money in the cattle and livestock feeding industry. The Oklahoma State Department of Agriculture, along with the State Governor, David Hall, have urged the United States Department of Agriculture and the President of the United States, Richard Nixon, to designate the cattle and livestock feeding sector of agriculture as a 'severe economic impact area' in addition to the implementation of a regional Conference on Financial Stability in Agriculture in order to address this problem
