The North Central Oklahoma Inter-Tribal Health Council is seeking support from Senator Bartlett for a new Indian hospital facility in the area. The council has passed a joint resolution requesting funding for planning and design of the facility. The resolution highlights the dire need for improved healthcare facilities for the Indian people residing in the seven counties of the Pawnee Service Unit. The council is requesting $550,000 for planning and design and $1,122,000 for equipment to construct the facility.
