Mr. Rood wrote a letter to Congressman Jones urging support for H.R. 5732, a bill concerning additions to Sequoia National Park. Congressman Jones responded, acknowledging the letter and expressing appreciation for Mr. Rood's concern. Congressman Jones stated that the bill is pending before the House Interior Committee and has been referred to the Subcommittee on National Parks and Recreation. He assured Mr. Rood that he will study the legislation and do his best to support a program that will preserve the wilderness area in Sequoia National Park.
