Scope and Contents
The Laboratory for Community Development, School Boards, and Administration is a research organization that develops new methods for community involvement in local socio-educational problems and explores new ways to gain the most service to the community from the school system. The Laboratory follows a definite cycle in all of its programs, which includes identifying a problem, pinpointing weaknesses or gaps in existing resources, developing new programs or materials based on research, testing the new programs or materials in pilot situations, and revising them as necessary. Once the new programs or materials are proven to be operable, they are applied on an area-wide basis and disseminated to the relevant individuals and organizations. All programs are subject to continuous evaluation and refinement.
