Scope and Contents
In her letter of January 5, 1968, Mrs. Jessie Smallwood of the Stanislaus County Community Action Commission offers her services to the Women's Advisory Council on Poverty. She explains that the Council is trying to foster close working relationships between local women's organizations and their community action agencies, and that she can help by encouraging the active participation of women's groups. Mrs. Smallwood also agrees to keep the Council informed of any local success stories in which the efforts of women's organizations or individual women have played a part.
