Scope and Contents
The text describes amendments to H.R. 7093 that would impact the distribution of funds from a judgment to the Osage Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma. The amendments would allow all original enrollees to receive a full per capita share, rather than just those of one-half Osage blood or more. Additionally, the ONO proposes that all living persons with one-fourth Osage blood or more should share equally in the judgment, rather than by inheritance from a person on the 1908 roll. Finally, the amendments would stipulate that none of the funds distributed per capita under the provisions of the Act shall be subject to Federal or State income taxes.
