Scope and Contents
This bill would provide for the distribution of funds appropriated in satisfaction of a judgment obtained by the Osage Nation of Indians in the Indian Claims Commission against the United States. The funds would be distributed per capita to all persons whose names appear on the roll of the Osage Tribe of Indians approved by the Secretary of the Interior, with some exceptions. The bill would also authorize the Secretary of the Interior to make withdrawals from the judgment funds to pay for costs associated with carrying out the provisions of the bill.
