Scope and Contents
The Citizens' Advisory Council on the Status of Women released the recommendations of four task forces at the Conference of State Commissions on the Status of Women. The task forces had been studying issues related to income maintenance, family law and policy, health and welfare, and labor standards.
Some of the recommendations of the task forces included studying the complex subject of marital property laws, drafting a model law recognizing the rights of married women in property acquired during the marriage, repealing laws making abortion a crime, and allowing married women to establish their own domicile for all purposes.
