AIIO is a Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) that provides long-term loans and equity financing to small businesses that are wholly owned or majority controlled by Indian communities or individuals. The organization will also provide management and technical assistance to newly formed companies in areas such as finance, accounting, business planning, marketing, and employee relations. AIIO was made possible through a grant from the Ford Foundation and is jointly developed and owned by Oklahomans for Indian Opportunity (Oklahoman's for Indian Opportunity) and Americans for Indian Opportunity (AIO).
