Mrs. Helen Thompson received a response from Congressman James R. Jones acknowledging her concerns about Disabled Veterans' Pensions. The Veterans Administration's proposal to reduce disability compensation has been withdrawn, and legislation has been introduced to stabilize and freeze the schedule for rating disabilities to protect veterans' payments. Congressman Jones assured Mrs. Thompson that he will follow the hearings of the Bill closely and do all he can to help.
