The text is a letter from Congressman James R. Jones to Gene Colasacco, Department Commander of The American Legion of Oklahoma, thanking him for expressing their views on a bill calling for an increase in G.I. educational benefits. Jones assures Colasacco that he will consider their views when the compromise bill is reported to the House for final consideration. Colasacco had previously urged Jones to vote for HR12628 as amended by the Senate to provide additional educational benefits for Vietnam Veterans. Jones assures Colasacco that he will take their request into consideration.
