Jones expressing support for House Bill HR 11221, which is scheduled for a vote. Oxley believes the bill will allow the savings and loan industry to compete on an equal level with commercial banks for public funds. Congressman Jones assures Oxley that he will keep his views in mind when the bill comes to a vote and offers assistance if needed.
