Mr. Armstrong wrote to Congressman Carl Albert inquiring about the delayed payment to the Chickasaw and Choctaw Tribes for the sale of their coal lands. Congressman Albert responded that the full amount of $8,500,000 was included in a bill, but there are disagreements delaying its passage. He assured Mr. Armstrong that he is working to resolve the issue so that the payment can be made during the current session of Congress.
