Scope and Contents

Mrs. Salina Jessie writes to Carl Albert requesting information on when she will receive money owed to her. Carl Albert responds, informing her that payments to enrolled members of the Choctaw and Chickasaw tribes for coal lands sold to the government are being processed and will be mailed out within the next sixty days. He advises her to update her address with the Indian Office to avoid any delays in receiving her check. Additionally, he mentions that proof of heirship notices will also be sent out to determine legal heirs and their share of the payment. Carl Albert offers his assistance and thanks Mrs. Jessie for her letter.
