Scope and Contents

Mr. Loman wrote to Carl Albert asking about the payment to the Choctaws and Chickasaws for the sale of their coal lands. Albert responded that payment will be made to living enrolled members first and will take about sixty days. Checks will be sent out around mid-July by the Superintendent of the Five Civilized Tribes Agency in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Albert offered further assistance if needed.
