Scope and Contents

Mr. Barrick is inquiring about when the Choctaws and Chickasaws will be paid for the sale of their coal lands to the government. Congressman Carl Albert responds that Congress will appropriate the money soon and the Indian Office will then distribute it. He is unsure of the exact amount of money in the Treasury, but assures that it will all be paid at the same time. Mr. Barrick also asks for updates on the Indian affairs.
