Scope and Contents

Mrs. C. G. Hammer wrote a letter to Congressman Carl Albert requesting information on how to apply for payment for the sale of coal lands by the Choctaws and Chickasaws to the government. Albert responded, informing her that checks will be mailed out to enrolled members in July without the need for forms to be filled out. He advised Hammer to inform the Superintendent of the Five Civilized Tribes Agency of any change in address to avoid delay in receiving the payment. Albert also suggested that Hammer's brother do the same.
