Scope and Contents
Mrs. Agnes Swarm wrote to Congressman Carl Albert asking about the payment to members of the Choctaw and Chickasaw Nations for the sale of their coal lands. She wanted to know if her half-brothers would share in her twin brother's interest and if her step-father would share in her father's interest. Congressman Albert explained that living enrolled members would be paid first and then claims of heirs would be considered. He said that a notice would be sent out for completion and return to determine legal heirs. Congressman Albert couldn't answer Mrs. Swarm's specific questions about her brothers and step-father, but he offered to answer any other questions she might have.
