Scope and Contents
Mrs. Dunnigan wrote to Representative Helen Gahagan Douglas offering her assistance in compiling a record of the service rendered by Negro soldiers in the last war. She mentioned her experience in compiling similar manuscripts on the history of the Negro and expressed her interest in assisting with Douglas' project. However, Douglas responded that the work on the Negro Soldier had already been completed and she had no vacancies in her office. She thanked Dunnigan for her interest and wished her well.
