Scope and Contents
The text is a letter from Presly Holliday to Helen Gahagan Douglas, thanking her for her support of fairness towards "Negroes and expressing appreciation for her efforts in promoting equality. Douglas had sent Holliday a pamphlet titled "The "Negro" Soldier" and he commends her for her kindness and advocacy for justice for all. Holliday, an old Regular Army soldier, expresses his gratitude and respect for Douglas.
