Identifier: CAC_CC_038_8_47_4_0072

Dates

Scope and Contents

The letter is a response to Senator Monroney regarding the claims procedures for property damage in Oklahoma City. The Federal Aviation Agency has streamlined the process to ensure fair treatment for all citizens submitting claims. Qualified structural engineers review damage reports, and adjusters and engineers are not coerced into filing negative reports. The burden of proof is not placed on the property owner, and each claim is adjudicated based on potential sonic boom damage. The Tinker Claims Office reviews and adjudicates each case individually, and in response to suggestions, future denial letters will include the cause of the damage as determined by the engineer.
