Scope and Contents
The letter is a response to Senator Bartlett's inquiry regarding the use of funds under Public Law 81-874 for Indian education in Carnegie Public Schools. The Department of Health, Education, and Welfare states that there is no requirement for school districts with restricted Indian lands to solely use these funds for Indian education.
