A panel discussion will be held to discuss the Indian Self-Determination Act, which gives federally-recognized tribes the power to determine their relationship with the federal government. The panelists will examine the strengths and weaknesses of the act, the legal definition of "Indian," and whether the act is a step towards ending federal trusteeship. The discussion is part of a series of public forums on Bicentennial issues sponsored by the University of Tulsa.
