Scope and Contents
The Osage Tribal Council has objections to proposed regulations regarding the Osage Educational Fund. They have been unable to access the funds for educational purposes due to delays by the Bureau of Indian Affairs. The Tribal Council has proposed a committee to administer the funds in a fair manner, but their efforts have been thwarted. They believe they are capable of managing the funds without interference from the Bureau. They also have conflicts with the primary author of the proposed regulations and feel that the regulations bypass their involvement and contradict the policy of Self-Determination.
