Mrs. Gary S. Thorpe wrote to Member of Congress Page Belcher expressing her concerns about the Chilocco Indian School potentially being contracted to a private operator. Page Belcher reassured Mrs. Thorpe that he would do everything possible to keep the school and provided updates on his communications with the Bureau of Indian Affairs regarding the situation. He also shared copies of letters he received from the Bureau of Indian Affairs regarding the matter.
