Scope and Contents

Mr. Guy Fox from Pawnee, Oklahoma wrote a letter to Congressman Page Belcher concerning the Indian Department, requesting additional clerical assistance at the Pawnee Sub-Agency. The Bureau of Indian Affairs responded, authorizing an increase in clerical position at the Pawnee Sub-Agency and delegation of authority for oil and gas leases. Congressman Belcher acknowledged Mr. Fox's concerns and promised to look into the matter.
