Scope and Contents

The letter is a response to a request for a copy of H.R. 1242 regarding the conveyance of certain school properties to local school districts or public agencies. The bill authorizes the Secretary of the Interior to transfer land and property previously used for Federal Indian school purposes to state or local governmental agencies.
