Scope and Contents
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has authorized 2,200 units of low rent public housing for Indians in addition to 1,788 units previously designated. HUD area offices are now accepting applications from Indian Housing Authorities for the authorized units. The housing can be developed through the conventional method where the Local Housing Authority acts as the developer, or the Turnkey method where a builder designs and builds the project.
