The Bureau of Indian Affairs received letters from Miss Marie L. Wadley expressing the Council's support of various legislation. Congressman Page Belcher acknowledged the support and welcomed any comments or suggestions from Wadley. The Inter-Tribal Council of the Five Civilized Tribes supported several proposed bills related to Indian lands, sanitation facilities, unemployment, and the role of the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Wadley's recommendations were forwarded to Congressman Belcher for consideration and action.
