Scope and Contents
The Native American Student Association of Oklahoma State University invited Commissioner Morris Thompson to speak at their third Annual Native American Heritage Week. Congressman Happy Camp supported the invitation and contacted Commissioner Thompson on their behalf. However, Commissioner Thompson regretfully declined the invitation due to prior commitments. Instead, Assistant Director S. Gabe Paxton, Jr. would attend the event in his place. The Association planned various activities for the week, including guest speakers, panel discussions, and a pow-wow.
