Scope and Contents

The Principal Chief of the Choctaw Nation is requesting assistance from the Oklahoma Congressional Delegation in regards to the appointment of the Chief. He is asking for a meeting with the Secretary of the Interior and for the Choctaw people to continue to have a voice in the selection process. The Chief also requests an extension of the current Chief's term to allow for either a referendum election or a nominating convention.
