Scope and Contents This series contains materials related to Synar's involvement in two court proceedings: the Supreme Court Case Bowsher v. Synar and the impeachment of Judge Alcee L. Hastings. The bulk of these materials, roughly 700 items, relate to Bowsher v. Synar, including extensive handwritten notes by Synar, his staff, and his counsel, Alan Morrison. The remaining 400 items in this series relate to Synar's work as prosecutor in the impeachment proceedings against Judge Hastings.
