Burtek, Inc., plant in Tulsa, on 15th Street at 73rd Ave. East. Plant is constructed of stone and brick. Cars are parked in front. A subsidiary of Dorsett Electronics of Norman, Burtek is an electronic engineering firm and world's largest independent producer of technical training devices for the aircraft, missile, and space industries. Located in Tulsa's Sheridan Industrial District, the plant has over 50,000 feet of floor area and is located on a ten-acre site. The electronics firm is a subsidiary of Westinghouse Air Brake Company, and some of its major space and defense activities are in the area of molecular electronics, bionics, life sciences, reconnaissance, and flight simulation.
