Senator Robert S. Kerr (right), of Oklahoma, chairman of the Senate's Select Committee on National Water Resources, received yesterday from David A. Wright, president of the New York State Waterways Association, Inc., a resolution by the group recognizing the Senator's outstanding public service and leadership in the development of the country's water and other natural resources. The resolution, which was passed at the Association's 50th Annual Meeting February 19 in New York City, praises Senator Kerr for his judgment and foresight and adds that as a result, "the planning to meet our future needs for water supply, flood control, industrial use, irrigation, transportation, hydroelectric power and recreation is in able hands." Senator Kerr was the honor guest and principal speaker at the Association's Annual Meeting. Mr. Wright, president of National Marine Service, Incorporated, is a director of the American Waterways Operators, Inc., and former chairman of its Board of Directors. Washington, D.C.
