This collection consists of music scores predominantly from the 20th century, and includes scores from the late 19th century and early 21st century. Examples of classical music and popular music are represented. The scores were mainly written for organ, piano, and voice, but were all collected and used by either classical or theatre organists and enthusiasts.

Arrangement of Materials:
This collection is arranged into series based on the known donor/creator/collector of the music scores. Processing of series 1-9 was completed prior to 2017. Each series was originally a collection of its own. The current arrangement is a compromise between utilizing previous work to maintain connections to creators/donors and finding a way to better organize the large collection of music scores at the AOIAL.
Most of the scores in this collection were received with the large donation of materials from the American Theatre Organ Society in 2012
Scores are added to this collection on an on-going basis, as new music scores are acquired and processed.
